God in the Every Day...

I am always amazed when something I experience directly coincides with what I feel God is already speaking to my heart. Recently- my daily devotionals... Utmost for His Highest, and Praying God's Word Day By Day have brought many a confirming moment in my heart.

For example- here are the topics over the past few days...

*Have I surrendered my life to the supremacy of the Lord, breaking my self-induced independence?

*Will I surrender to Jesus Christ, placing NO conditions whatsoever as to how the brokenness will come?

*Will I choose to be broken from my understanding of myself?

*Am I part of Christ's sufferings?

*Am I prepared for God to stamp out my personal ambitions?

*Am I prepared for God to destroy my decisions by supernaturally transforming them?

*Am I prepared to NOT KNOW why God is taking me a certain way because knowing would cause pride?

Breaking the hard outer layer of my individual independence from God, and the liberating of myself and my nature into oneness with him is what is necessary- NOT following my own ideas but CHOOSING absolute oneness with God. That when I CHOOSE to surrender- immediately... the reality of the supernatural identification with Jesus Christ takes place. That the PASSION of Christianity comes from DELIBERATELY signing away my own rights and becoming a BOND SERVANT OF JESUS CHRIST.

That REFUSING TO ACT LEAVES A PERSON PARALYZED... exactly where they were previously. That pressing myself into action causes me to immediately begin living and cease immediately the life of merely existing. That those that "Come" as noted in Matthew 11:28 experience the supernatural power of the life of God. The dominating power of the world, flesh, and devil becomes paralyzed not because of our act to "come" but because our act joins us with God and His redemptive power.

That God's way is always the way of suffering- not the way of avoiding the process of being identified with the sufferings of Christ. That Christ suffered "according to the will of God" (I Peter 4.19) and that we are to "rejoice to the extent that we partake of Christ's sufferings." (I Peter 4:13)

That I don't want to be a MARTHA. Martha believed in the power of Jesus and in the relationship between God and Jesus... but lacked an INTIMACY with Jesus. That her theology had its fulfillment in the future but that Jesus wanted her belief to become an intimate possession in the present. That theology becomes personal belief when we allow overwhelming circumstances/personal problems to bring awareness of our personal NEED!!

That to believe is to COMMIT. To commit morally to my convictions and refuse to compromise. To commit myself spiritually to Jesus Christ and make a determination to be dominated by Him alone. That when I am face to face with Jesus and He asks, "Do you believe this" (John 11:26) I find the faith to believe as natural as the process of inhaling.

This next information exclusive to Beth Moore in Praying God's Word Day by Day 11.6.07

That we can read scripture for hours but if we don't receive it by faith, it doesn't abide in us, bringing it's vitality and energy.

* That by faith in Jesus we are made strong. That is is in Jesus' name and the faith that comes through Him that we are healed. (Acts 3:16)

* The message we heard from His word will have no value to us if we don't combine them it with faith. (Heb. 4.2)

* Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11.1)
