WII!!!

I wasn't going to answer the question, "To Wii or not to Wii..." but I have received a few phone calls from you indicating you want to know... and also- have had a funny morning enabling me to share the answer now.

I did indeed secure a Wii for our family yesterday morning. Most people who know me know that if I set out to get or do something... it will get done. So- yes, I came home with one. But I put on a GREAT SHOW indicating that I didn't get one. I wanted to keep it from Paul so he too would be surprised.

He apparently bought my act because last night, on his way home from the Steeler game... he stopped at Target ad purchased an X-box 360. He said that it was the second best option and that we already have Xbox games so we'd be able to play right away. (Little did he know I already had a Wii the basement.) So- I told him to hide it away and if we didn't come up with a Wii by Christmas morning... we would keep the 360. ( As if...)

Well, this morning my husband sends me this picture in the form of a text message.

He somehow, without getting up at 3am, standing in two lines, enduring 33 degree weather and being covered in WET... secured a Wii. WHAT??? We, the apparently wealthy... as of 10 this morning, had possession of two Nintendo Wiis and one Xbox 360. I told Paul I was heading out right away to get a Sony PS3. (Ha-Ha... NOT!)

We are returning the 360... clearly. And the extra Wii will probably be put up online for someone else to have for the holidays. Ahhhhh... Christmas. The season for securing impossible treats and treasures for the family.

And now that that is all behind us... we are focusing on the reason for the holiday- Christ. Luke 2:11 says- "A Saviour has been born to us. He is Christ the Lord." I love the gift giving. I like the gift getting. But Christ... my heart is content in Him. I hope you too find yourself filled with Him over these next few weeks.

Too funny Chelle. I think that Paul could get paid quite well, giving others advice on how to get a WII and not stand in line this time of year!!!

Blessings, Joanne
