Fireproof

It's ironic that I am bringing you this information today. It comes after a very long night. A night that was both emotional and exhausting. A night of hashing things out between husband and wife. Things that are not OK. Things that need to change. Parenting issues. Priorities. Hurt feelings etc.

And I would be a liar if I didn't admit to the feelings of hopelessness and "we're done" that tend to escort these discussions.

All this being said, this morning I read the AllAccess blog and the topic was the movie Fireproof. Have you heard about this yet?

Sherwood Pictures, the media ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church, is releasing its third film "Fireproof" to theaters this Fall 2008. September 29th to be exact.

Actor Kirk Cameron, plays the role of Holt, a firefighter whose constant mantra to his team is, "Never leave your partner behind, especially in a fire."

When his wife tells him she wants a divorce, Holt realizes the contradiction between his commitment to run into a burning building to save a stranger but unwillingness to do the same to save his wife in the marriage. With the help of his father, Holt takes up the challenging -– and often discouraging -- task of reviving his marriage.

I don't need to tell you how reading about this movie after my long dialogue last night went... or that I will be seeing it this fall when it hits a PA theater.

Head to the FIREPROOF SITE so you can read about it yourself and view the trailers.

Have a great weekend friends.

Sweet friend...I had the chills as I read your post, and realize how "raw" your emotions are...and how hurt you are.

Hang in their friend...God WILL make a way...when we each lay down ourselves...our desires, our longing to be right...to be heard...and quietly listen (together) for the Lord to speak to your hearts and breathe hope and healing into your marriage.

I'm on my knee's...fighting in prayer for your marriage.

Please keep me posted...as my dh and I counsel MANY couples in the same situation you are in...and God is in the "marriage restoration business!"

Chelle',
I am so sorry that you are hurting. You know I will be praying for you. I think I've gotten to know enough about you from reading your blog that I know where your heart is.
I did hear about the movie and it sounds like a really good one to see.

Chelle,

Even through my sleep depravation I was getting a funny feeling when I was encouraging you to go out with your hubby on your birthday tomorrow.

Arguing, crying, anger and hurt are still signs of a love that is alive. It is when indifference creeps in that things can get pretty scary. But it is nothing to our God who can breathe life into dead things.

And no matter how long we have been married, we have all had hard times. Marriage is hard, being a mommy is hard and having an illness like you do is something that I can't even comprehend.

I am praying for you and for Paul. My heart hurts for you friend. I sure hope that your birthday tomorrow is a blessed day and that your heart finds joy, just like you have given me and so many others.

Love, Joanne

Hey Girlie,
I have been on my knees for you and Paul. I know how much you sparkle when you mention him and I know that he does the same. God will heal the damage we can do to each other through words.
I hope that you can have a great Birthday even though you are probably working.
Call me when you are done traveling. I want to make you lunch and let the kids swim while we talk.
AND, this year, you know where your friends are! I love ya girl!
I am so happy that God brought us together.

Chelle, Somehow I missed that you have been posting. I'm surprised you have not seen my post on Fireproof. It's been at the top of my blog for about a week. I was so excited when I heard about this movie. David is a fireman so we heard about it pretty early.
I will be praying for you and I can already see there will be miracles happen.
